The Beginning
This was never just about trading.
It was never about one winning position, one signal, or one short-term success. The story of SGA Funded began with two Iraqi traders, Khalil and Younis, who entered the world of forex between 2018 and 2019 with one goal in mind: to change their lives, the lives of their families, and the future of everyone who believed that a better path was possible.
At that time, the road was almost invisible. There was no strong Arabic educational ecosystem for forex inside Iraq — no clear local roadmaps, no professional Iraqi institutions, and no easy access to structured knowledge in our language.
So we searched everywhere.
Trading did not only teach us charts. It taught us discipline. It taught us patience. It taught us how far a person can go when there is no other option but to succeed.

Every serious dream
has a price.
For us, that price was isolation, sacrifice, and years of focus. We stepped away from many things we loved. We spent less time with family. We left friends behind. We gave up comfort, distractions, and the normal life people expected from us.
Not because we wanted to disappear — but because we knew that to build something real, we had to become different first. At the beginning, not many people believed in us. There was no applause. No strong support. No easy encouragement. No guarantee this path would work.

The Birth
of SGA
After years of learning, testing, failing, and improving, the first version of SGA was born. It started as a simple signals channel, with one clear mission: to help people make better buy and sell decisions in the forex market.
At that time, there were not many Iraqi trading communities offering structured signals with a serious educational spirit behind them. SGA became a place where traders received daily insights, market direction, and a sense of guidance in a field that often felt confusing and lonely.
But trust was not built overnight. It was built signal by signal. Result by result. Trader by trader. The community grew. Demand increased. And SGA slowly became more than a channel — it became a name, a community, a promise that something serious was being built.

What if SGA became
an academy?
In 2023, a new idea appeared: what if we stopped only giving people direction, and started teaching them how to understand the market by themselves? That was the beginning of Smart Generation Academy.
We started with Price Action, the first major school we taught. But the market is bigger than one model. So we went deeper — studying and developing nearly seven analytical approaches, so we could teach with more depth, structure, and flexibility. We did not study just to know. We studied to teach, to simplify, and to give Iraqi and Arab traders the education we wish we had when we first started.

Success does not always bring support.
Sometimes growth brings competition. Sometimes resistance. Sometimes people who do not want to see you rise. As SGA grew, the challenges grew stronger — competitors appeared, criticism increased, pressure built from every direction.
But we did not stop. Instead, we took one of the biggest steps in our journey: official approval in Sulaymaniyah, northern Iraq, to establish an educational economic institute specialized in forex education and financial market training.
A real company. A real institute. A real location. Real students. Real courses. A dream becoming visible. For a moment, all the years of sacrifice were finally turning into something permanent.
Then came the hardest chapter. After only nine months, the project was forced to close under heavy pressure and circumstances that made it impossible to continue.
The damage was not only financial. It was emotional. Everything we had built from 2019 to 2023 felt like it had disappeared in a single moment.

From survival
to rebuilding.
After the difficult chapter in Iraq, moving to Dubai became the next step. Not just a move from one city to another — a move from survival to structure, from pressure to strategy, from a closed chapter to a larger vision.
Khalil moved to Dubai and began establishing the company again — this time with official paperwork, legal structure, operational foundations, and the infrastructure to operate on a larger stage. Residencies were secured. The business foundation grew stronger. And slowly, the positive side of the story began to appear.
In Dubai, we got closer to the heart of the industry. We connected with brokers. We met funded-account companies. We explored liquidity providers. We attended forex events and expos. Every meeting gave us a new lesson; every connection opened a new door.

In 2024, the idea of SGA Funded started turning from a dream into a real project. The goal was not to copy what already existed — it was to build something different: a funding company created by traders who had lived the struggle themselves.
A company that understands the problems Iraqi and Arab traders face. One that supports local payment needs, respects the trader's reality, and builds its rules around clarity instead of confusion.
We wanted SGA Funded to be transparent from the beginning — not just in marketing, not just in words, but in structure, rules, systems, payments, support, and trader experience. So we decided to build the foundation ourselves.

Bali: where the dream
was engineered.
In 2025, another major transition happened — we moved to Bali. Part of it was lifestyle: a better environment, more focus, more freedom, the ability to build a global company without being limited by one location. But Bali was not only a lifestyle decision. Some of the operational and infrastructure requirements behind SGA Funded were available there.
For one full year, we worked on the infrastructure of SGA Funded. We did not want to launch fast. We wanted to launch right.
